Wear a Motorcycle Helmet

I am writing because I think the law on motorcycles should be changed because wearing a helmet is a lot safer. Wearing a helmet protects your head from a crash and makes you see better.

It is safe to wear a helmet because of a bad storm. If it was hailing it would hurt your head if you weren't wearing a helmet. If you wear a helmet the wind wouldn't hit your head. It would not hurt your head if you wear a helmet.

Welcome to Our Class Blog!

Come to our class blog often. We will write about the things we are doing in class, I will make announcements, and students will take turns posting photos.

This class blog has changed a lot, during the time that it has been in existence. It was my first venture into using technology in the classroom. We have used it to build our writing skills. It started out with me posting a question or topic and students responding in the comments. Then members of the class became the "Guest Blogger." The posts reflected the opinion of the writer and I edited only mechanics, but not ideas. Now students will have their own blog on Kidblogs.org.

Last year we began having a class photographer. Students took photos around the building, posted them, and wrote about their photo. You can still see their work on this blog.

This year students will take turns being the Class Blogger. Students will work in teams to photograph and report on important things that are going on here at Phillips. So come back often to get the latest Phillips news!
