Changing School Hours

I think that we should go to school from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Here's why:

#1-If we went to school later in the day we would be less tired and would be able to pay attention better in class. Plus we would have more time in the morning and we wouldn't forget our homework as often.

#2-More time in the morning would give teachers more time to plan the day out. Also,we could do our homework in the morning instead of the night because school gets out so late.Thank you.

Welcome to Our Class Blog!

Come to our class blog often. We will write about the things we are doing in class, I will make announcements, and students will take turns posting photos.

This class blog has changed a lot, during the time that it has been in existence. It was my first venture into using technology in the classroom. We have used it to build our writing skills. It started out with me posting a question or topic and students responding in the comments. Then members of the class became the "Guest Blogger." The posts reflected the opinion of the writer and I edited only mechanics, but not ideas. Now students will have their own blog on Kidblogs.org.

Last year we began having a class photographer. Students took photos around the building, posted them, and wrote about their photo. You can still see their work on this blog.

This year students will take turns being the Class Blogger. Students will work in teams to photograph and report on important things that are going on here at Phillips. So come back often to get the latest Phillips news!
